Hypocrisy: List of 26 gun-owning Democrats who participated in anti-gun sit-in

Democrats don’t want you to own guns, and for that matter, don’t think the constitutional right of due process applies to you, which is why they violated House rules to engage in an hours-long sit-in in the House of Representatives.

But, Heat Street reported Thursday, at least 26 Democrats who participated in the sit-in are gun owners.

Can you say, “hypocrisy?”

Congressional Democrats ended their 25-hour sit-in on the House floor this afternoon, failing to force a vote on two pieces of gun legislation. The controversial sit-in included 26 Democratic lawmakers who themselves own guns, Heat Street learned after examining 2013 USA Today data on congressional firearms ownership. The participants also included 12 more Democrats in Congress who either didn’t respond to USA Today’s gun survey or declined to say whether or not they possessed a firearm.

The sit-in, launched by civil-rights leader Rep. John Lewis, centered on two pieces of proposed gun legislation. One would expand background checks to cover all commercial gun sales; the other seeks tougher prohibitions against gun purchases for terror suspects.

So, who are these hypocritical Democrats?

In short, they believe in gun rights for themselves, but want to strip average, law-abiding Americans of their rights.

Hypocritical? You bet.

Trey Gowdy Left Democrats Speechless When He Slammed Obama’s Gun Control

After the San Bernardino terrorist attack, Obama and the Democrats fought to strip gun rights from Americans without due process of law.

During a Congressional hearing, Trey Gowdy created a viral video sensation where he reduced an Obama bureaucrat to a bumbling mess by destroying Obama’s policy of trashing the Second Amendment.

Now that Obama has resurrected his push to restrict gun rights without due process, Gowdy once again shared the video that made him an internet sensation.

Department of Homeland Security Deputy Assistant Secretary, Kelli Ann Burriesci, had the misfortune of having to appear before Gowdy’s committee and explain why the Obama administration believes due process does not apply to Americans suspected of being on the terrorist watch list.

It did not go well for her.

I am proud of the Dems for the sit in. The outrage over the gun issue in this country is sadly lacking. The gun apathy is part of the gun sickness that shame the US. When 20 kids die in a mass shooting and we do nothing, we shame ourselves.

You haven't a clue! Take away guns and people become victims.

Those liberals you are so proud of control the cities with the most sever gun laws and regulations, and also the highest murder rates in the states!

When criminals start obeying laws your arguments might not be so laughable

You want to turn us into a Mexican border town where only police and criminals have guns and the public is slaughtered in the middle of their shootouts.

Perhaps you should vacation in Warez, Tijuana or one of the other border towns to see how well gun control works. Maybe the Detroit and Chicago inner cities?

That's not a gun sickness that's a thug sickness. You should learn the difference.
Nothing the Dem sit in stood for would change anything. Pomp and circumstance by attention whores.

Who gave up their struggle so as not to miss their holiday. And I would have stayed for the feast they ordered in too, but they weren't about giving up their holiday!
