Does anyone else think this guys going to be setting some pretty incredible records?
I've been watching the Vikings Adrian Peterson for 8 games now and I'm just amazed. He consistently sees 8 or 9 in the box (because everyone knows the Vikings don't have a QB or WR)yet he's ripping the Defense's apart. I just saw the guy set the all time NFL record in his EIGHT GAME of his NFL Career and I know this won't be his best game of his career (lol.. he plays the Broncos the last game of the season, he could go for 400 yds that game) This guys on pace for 2,000 yds as a freaking rookie Anyway, am I blowing this out of perspective: or is everyone seeing the same thing I am? |

I see this stuff too. The Vikings also have a good O line (not to take anything away from Adrian) and a horrible passing game. They will consistently rush Petersen 20-30 times a game allowing him 100+ yards. I think he will easily (barring an injury) get to 2,000 yard and a be 1,500+ yard back a season. He's pretty much their only weapon on offense and about the only thing that makes the Vikings watchable. Petersen is a very special player and I think when he retires will be one of the best ever.

Dude is freaking awesome. If the Vikings get a passing game, then the sky is the limit. I mean, 8 or 9 guys in the box and yet he still makes a ton of yards. Oh, and there solid O-Line helps, but Adrian is just a freak of nature.

Definitely. Adrian would be godly on the Texans. The Vikings passing game is one of the worst ever.

Yeah, the O-Line is pretty incredible with Mt McKinney & Hutchenson next to all pro center Matt Birk (plus the line is pretty young too). LoL.. Not sure about the worst passing game "ever" (I have Steve Smith in on league and there QBs actually seem worse. But its like saying what tastes worse Liver or Beef Hearts...they're both pretty bad.
I just look forward to seeing his future play out |

Well, Delhomme got injured so it's David "i get sacked more then potatoes" Carr and Vinny "older then dirt" Testeverde. Tavaris Jackson is the WORST qb in the league and the Vikings have not 1 good receiver. I believe they are the 30th ranked passing offense. Jackson their qb has like a 49 completion %. Peterson runs the show in Minnesota by a large margin.

As great as Peterson is.......I am a BSU broco fan, and when he played against our defense, he made minimal yardage.

I am a die hard OU fan so he's one of my favorite players in the NFL. I think he's got the potential to break every rushing record in the books...problem is, he's VERY injury prone. He was out for pretty much half of his college career because of various injuries.

Isn't it funny how when you have the Best RB in the league it's assumed that the Passing game sucks? I don't know but the Vikings Pass game looked better than the Chargers on Sunday (amazing how a running game will do that too). I'm also willing to bet that the Vikings #1 WR Rice has put up better numbers than Steve Smith in the past few games. (They both Suck!)
AD (All Day) Peterson made Tomlinson look like a Popwarner Football player. |

Well considering their passing game is 30th ranked I'd say it's pretty damn bad. Tavaris Jackson is probably the worst starting QB in the league which is saying a lot.

If the Vikings didn't have such an idiot for a coach maybe they would be some where.

A.P. is the shiznit!
The Vikes are a year or two away from being a contending caliber team. I think their coach knows what he is doing. They just have some holes yet to fill. |

I also agree with the idiot coach. Childress is a moron down at the bottom tier of coaches with Denny The BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! Green and Lane Kiffin.

Yeah, to bad AP won't go all day now. Its to bad hes hurt. He wont hit the rookie record I don't think because of it. Hes got one record already, so he can't be to disappointed.
