I've had E Coli poisoning twice and it's not pleasant. The 1st time was from an egg, second time was from spinach. Toss those eggs my friend. smokin

Yes, but to make sure, if you are using them in a recipe crack them in a separate bowl. The sell by date doesn't mean use by. Eggs will keep up to thirty days in the fridge. Longer than that if you keep your fridge cold.

I would add to that, as was mentioned e-coli, any cracked eggs i wouldn't trust. But for the most part they will keep at least 30 days after the sell by date.

Expirations dates are manufacturers suggestions

Eggs can still be used up to 2 - 3 weeks beyond the expiration date on the carton, as long as they have been continuosly stored in temperatures of 45 degrees or less.

if baking with them, the older an egg gets the end product may not risee as well.
