There's a long story behind it.

I met several American guys online, who I considered to be average joes , but who seemed to be drawn to extreme roughness in bed .The scenarios they described to me was a textbook replica of every modern porn video ever made. I never even met any of these guys in person, but in talking to them over weeks or months, I realised that this was a normal requirement for them.

And it made me wonder if there were others out there who also saw such roughness as extreme? And if this is the new normal , how does it impact people like me who have boundaries? Will we be considered prudes and outcasts for not boardng that runaway train? Those and so many more questions came to me.

So the thread was a thermometer to feel out what people out there perceived as normal or abnormal and guage the impact on our dating lives.

Most of the sex threads here are mating calls in my opinion. I dont know if my thread had the same vibe , but I tried to keep it more educational and balanced than kinky or judgmental. I dont know if I succeeded but I really did try
