CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y.,

Police in New York said a woman attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to buy a jar of mayonnaise from a local store.

According to Cheektowaga Police, Rinet Fox, 47, attempted to pay using a $100 bill that featured the words "for motion picture use only" at a Restaurant Depot store on Wednesday.

WIVB reports that the cashier said the bill felt inauthentic before noticing the text, which indicated that it was prop money.

Local police and U.S. Secret Service were notified of the incident, and police said Fox was charged with possession of a forged instrument, then arraigned and released on her own recognizance.

Cheektowaga Police warned local business to carefully inspect high-value bills and noted that prop bills should feature markings noting their counterfeit status.

reminds me of the Idiots here years ago,trying to use Rubberstamped 1'000.-sFr-Bills!

Mayonnaise !? So she wants to break the law &go home & make potato salad or something?
And back in March it happened in another town there, in 4 different stores.

But hey.. It is New York. And & this point.. Anything goes. As long as it doesn't interfere with drugs or sex (all sex). Or have a high sugar content (soda size limit), or upset a migrant or Hollywood.
