There is a new plant (Komatsu) being built about 45 miles from here. It's starting to look better everyday.

lol....the only reason i'm not gonna quit viracon is cause i just got put at the lowest position on my new line (after being a back-up lead on my old line) but at viracon you move up so fast i could easily be a lead and pushing $20 and hour in under two years......so i figure with how easy it is to move up i can put up with the B.S. for a while...

my surervisor is going to talk to the plant manager and try to keep me but I don't think it will do any good. I'll know pretty quick if it does. They say they can't afford to pay me this much money to do this job. I said you can't afford not to. You keep retraining people and they keep losing materials. Right now they are missing 1.3 million dollars worth of parts. It has went way down since I started. Not to brag or anything but I work hard at my job.

hey thats not to bad. I've been there 1.5 years and started at eleven and now I'm at 15 so thats not to bad for around here.

Saturdays is time and a half and Sundays is double time . That why I work everyday and the fact I'm putting my daughter through college on my own

I've been told only people with bad credit gets grants. That leaves me out. sucks though She got a 40 thousand dollar scholarship and she takes out a student loan for 4 thousand a year. I just don't want to have to pay for her education the rest of her life. It's going to be around 120 thousand for four yrs.

oh wow.....wish i had an idea that would help.....this is why i never went to college.....and it's not just bad credit, there's dozens of ways to get a grant...you could actually get a gov't gant....they hand those out like candy.....

yes we did that but they only gave me about 2 grand. thats just a drop in the bucket. And thats a big bucket.lol She will get through it though. I will see to it

She is my baby girl. I would do anything for her. She is a great kid. Well lady now. She went out of state to school. She is on the deans list. I'm very proud of her. She finished high school ranked 6th out of 82 students. Sorry I brag to much.

your not bragging, your proud of your child.....and i live probably about 3 hours or so south of brainerd...i'm about 45 minutes north of the minnesota/iowa border

I use to go to Brainard every year for to weeks camping with my parents. Would love to do it again. Got in trouble once though. We camped right across from Camp Ripley. Just couldn't resist crossing. Parents caught us though. Kind of ruined the vacation. But we had fun until then. lol
