I just scanned your profile Bro. 2 weeks until the big day,huh? Good Luck. I gave Uncle Sam 9 years myself. The first place I was sent after AIT was Ft. Hood, Texas, and I got out from there at the end. After the economy went south in '86, and the mortgage,and 2 cars notes were due, I went back in,and gave them 6 more years. I was stationed at Ft. Polk, La.. aka Camp Swampy, then sent to Germany for the next 2 1/2 years. I got sent to Saudi Arabia for D. Storm,and arrived in their beautiful Muslim country on flippin Christmas Eve. After the war, we were sent back to Germany to close down the base I was at, and then about 50% of us were sent to Ft. Stewart,Ga. I did my last year there,and ets'd in Aug of '92.

If/when you get deployed into combat, just remember two things, okay? Cover your own butt, and cover your buddie's butts. We all want to see you become a Grampa someday.

I paint, read, play my guitar, 4 wheeling,fishing..all that fun stuff
