Compelled by vows and proprieties snare, Chained in allegiance, linked to despair. Dreams of yearning, dreams to be free, Together, but never, melded be. Today is like yesterday, tomorrow the same, Distraction, dejection, confusion and pain. Delusions are lucid, they relish your cause, Then reality beckons, with dream-ripping claws. They say love's an emotion, to immense to compare, Yet beyond its limits, lies that colossus... Despair!
