Love is real. There are different kinds of love and different reasons for love. Some love a mate for what that person looks like and can do for them and if one changes so does the love. Some love for the shared things or interest or things in common or for the opposite things that compliment each other, for selfish reasons or unselfish reasons or any combination there of when it comes to love of mate. I think the greatest love in relationships is the love that no matter what drew the pair together grew so strong and becomes so committed that even if the looks are lost and the finance dwindles and the things so enjoyed that brought the couple together are no longer, a spiritual connection and a moral fiber and a memory so passionate that the union will not die as long as the two are still alive and the one will always be there for the other even putting their needs on the back burner as their partner needs them more without reservation and the heart feels compelled to do this. To me this is the truest, strongest, realest, most romantic love and nothing else matters when it comes a romantic relationship. I dream of it. I pray for it. I write about it. I would treasure one year of life in this relationship more than one hundred without it.
