Should people be banned, yes. Scammers and predetors. At least that would be a good place to start. I think I would add those people who seek to terrorize others. To my notion your rights to free speech end where they take away my other rights like peace, privacy, liberty for examples those who stalk others just because they can collecting information from every keystroke.

Should people be banned from social media? "Should?" Sure. Some people "should" be banned from social media. Impossible to do though if your ultimate goal is to make sure they have no impact on society whatsoever. How has "banning" people from society, kids, and even the internet, worked out for those in prisons? Or that are registered sex offenders? "Should" is almost always a pointless exercise. Nothing will ever work out the way you want it to. A lot of problems arise when you decide to start discriminating against a group of people you think "should" be kept from doing something. People will always find a way to get around restrictions to do what they "shouldn't" do at the very least simply to prove that the people that said they "shouldn't" aren't better or different. At best you can simply keep from facilitating their access or behavior.

Ummm spammers and scammer usually get banned if reported. As for freedom of speech....each site is it's own country. Every site has terms of use/service that members agree to follow. Can't follow simple rules? Bye bye.

Freedom of speech, isn't just there to protect the happy speech. Freedom of speech in it's very essence, is there to protect unpopular speech, controversial speech. It's what allows us to communicate different thoughts and ideas about an endless list of topics.
