It's mostly the fact that my Mom has lost her mind so much from the Dementia, that she doesn't seem to remember me or the rest of my family much anymore.

Dementia is a cruel way to go. I have seen what it can do to the end. It sucks. I think I would rather die than end up like that. Hang in there buddy

For those that wonder. My Mom, is in a nursing facility. I have to go along with her to appointments. Diabetes, Dementia, and Multiple Sclerosis has made it so she doesn't communicate very well. She hardly talks anymore. It's extremely hard for me to visit with her, and in fact I end up leaving visits with her crying. Ok, think that's enough sharing for today. Must try to sleep. Now reading this Scoobert. sounds very painful for you and your entire family. Im so sorry

Hi Scoob! Sorry to hear about your Mom's illnesses That's got to be so tough to deal with- My Mom is getting up there in years, 85 this Aug! Just hang in there & take comfort in knowing that you are there for her-- Sending you a big HUG! Take care, sweetie!

Scoobert, I understand your feelings about your mom very well. There is an online support group that you may want to view... it also has a chat area. It does help to get ideas and just talk to others about the effects of dimensia.. anyway, the site is: alzconnected.org I have been on that site for a year or more, as my husband has dimensia.
