Then you should know the difference between attraction/ lust & genuine affection, caring/ love.

I don't understand the thread then.
It is too vague.
Because what people want is already listed on their profile.

Good luck to you

In my own experience, the reason people use the idea of "infatuation" versus "love," is as an excuse, or a cover story for their refusal to discipline themselves.

I myself am still infatuated with everyone I was ever infatuated with. They have all grown and changed to be other people, so I'm really only infatuated with who they were before, or at least who I thought they were.

Love? Too many variations and shades and applications for a single question.

infatuation or love?

infatuation - your feelings for someone based on who you think they are?
love - your feelings for someone based on knowing who they think they are?

To me this is really simple.

Infatuation is when you meet someone and like everything about them. It can grow into love. A lot of times usually lasts til something new and shiny comes along.

Love is when you are still infatuated when hard times come and the shine has worn off a bit. You see the other's weakness's and they don't matter the person does. You learn the deep dark secrets and nothing matters but the person you are with. They are more precious than most anything else in this world.

Infatuation is loving the external person, their looks and the personality they show.

Love is loving the internal beauty, their heart and real self.

Love is using a feather....
Infatuation is using the whole chicken...

ya but...my pillow and coat are stuffed with feathers

besides...I get tired of finding new chicken recipes
and some say "everything tastes like chicken" bigsmile

infatuation is the beginning

it is the initial interest
the quickening of a heart beat
the pleasure that comes over you
when the phone rings and you know it's him

the sound of his voice
when he says your name
that grin on his face when you say
something funny
