Why is it so hard to meet new people in your own area?

That's a good question and I am sure there are any number of answers.
In my case, I mistakenly moved to a town (in order to work on a book) where, it turns out, the only way to meet anyone is to go to a bar or a church. Since I don't drink, and I'm an atheist, these are not good options for me. I'm researching other parts of the country and the world, so I will know exactly where I want to go as soon as the lease expires. Because there is no way I'm sticking around here! |
