Word to the wise; if someone who lives on their own does not have a pet it is probably because they really don't want one.
You give a living puppy you may end up having it returned or it being a really sore spot when it chews up her best shoes or causes her big problems with her living situation/career. Puppies are a huge amount of work and creating a chore that she will associate with you even if she likes the animal may not be in your favor. If you are talking about a cute stuffed puppy or bear I would go with the puppy because teddy bears are really something you give your kid not your lover. |

If the girlfriend lives in an apartment, then the wrong breed of dog would be disastrous for her.

which one to send to jenny. The traditional teddy bear or a cute puppy
If you don't know, how would we/forum users/internet strangers who have never met her know? It's kinda sad/scary that you even ask. It's as though you don't know her, haven't paid attention to her, and you want some kind of universal rule book that applies to all women. For all I know she'll hate both, or not appreciate either. Get her a teddy bear- "Oh...he just bought this at the gas station. He doesn't care about me or know me. So...he's not that interested" Get her a puppy (assuming it's a live one rather than stuffed one)- "Oh no, this is a bunch of work and responsibility that I don't want to deal with. I am going to mail this back and break up with him so I don't get anymore gifts like this." Or for all I know she'd like a puppy dressed up as a teddy bear. Women aren't objects that just all love the same things and respond in the same way. What do you, who knows her, have talked to her, think she would prefer? |

So what do you think the traditional approach or new thing? Imo...You say ,you are 32 yrs old. And a Teddy bear or puppy is inappropriate for a grown woman? Kinda creepy. |
