Umm, could the girls here give me some advice? I'm goin on a date pretty soon, but I don't know what to wear, if I should wear makeup, all that stuff. This is my first actual date, so could you help me out?

I asked my daughter the same question when I was going out, she told me to go casual, nothing fancy, be yourself, stay calm, after all, your at least giving him you, not some made up person...if he likes that then you in....

First rule of thumb, you have to be comfortable with yourself, otherwise you'll be self-conscious during the whole thing. Wear the outfit you feel good in, makeup if you feel like it, whatever. If you feel good and feel comfortable, it'll show. Good luck!

Thats my problem, I'm comfortable in a tshirt, jeans, and boots. Im told often I dress like a man.......maybe i can dig up a more girly outfit, then again i might have to go buy something.....

PJ....I think you should do whatever is going to make you feel best about yourself!! What is going to make you feel your prettiest....yet still within your comfort zone. I know if I go on a date I like to feel like the man at least put some effort into cleaning up for me. Shave, change out of work clothes, etc. And because I like that feeling....I do the same for them! Put on a cute outfit and a little mascara if you are comfortable with it! By all means do not step out of your personal comfort zone for a first date!! Good luck!

If make up makes you feel comfortable wear it if not don't. The first date is always difficult enough without making yourself overly uncomfortable. Enjoy yourself.
