Why is it that many people believe that love has died since a very long time ago

The love of money never will die, as long as that is still in circulation....as for the other loves....well, people have basically shifted the love on to material objects...e.g. I love my car...I love my house....I love that movie...I love that imported beer...I love drinking...need I go on...So, love has become a blur...and kinda hard to distinguish ......is all I am saying...

I don't think it has. It depends how each individual views it. If you live life, thinking that there's no-one else out there you'd ever want, you might as well shoot yourself, because why would you want to exist with negative thinking? That doesn't do you any favours. It just makes people think you're bitter, or angry, or that you're living in the past. Whereas, someone who has a positive outlook, is more likely to be approachable. You get what you put out.

Love never dies.......as long as you live and your heart continues to beat, I'm sure you still have feelings and capable to love......but your heart will only have that special feeling when it starts to beat for the right one who will come along at the right time. Maybe at times it is sleeping and will awaken only when you meet the special one

Love hasn't died, it just doesn't mean anything until somebody comes along and you both fall hook, line and sinker.

Love hasn't died, it just doesn't mean anything until somebody comes along and you both fall hook, line and sinker. You are a stinker Joe? lol Just kidding. You are right; when the bug does bite you love is glorious. just seems everywhere. Before that it is kind of frustrating. But the mind set thing is a lot of it. You believe you are loveable it is a lot easier for someone else to. |

Aaaaaah.
Nobody thinks that "love died a long time ago." The most love-hungry people of all of us, pretend that they think that, because on some level of their psyche, established deep in their childhood, they hope that somewhere in the universe, some god-like presence hears their proclamation, and will come like a loving parent to prove them wrong. On another level, they are lashing out to try to punish the people who let them down after they DID think they had found love, by insisting that their "assailant" didn't really get anything over on them after all. |

But due to what man and womens have been through in now adays time many people find it difficult to make an arrangement to make it hard for them self to love deeply again because of their past hard time dorr! so they wount put their love and trust in anyone else so as to avoid his or her self in hurting again.

If you truly want to love again and have a successful relationship you must shed the past and leave behind your baggage....

If you truly want to love again and have a successful relationship you must shed the past and leave behind your baggage.... Yeah. I really hate it when people spout stuff like that. "Leave your baggage behind," as though deep and true love, and it's betrayal, are dirty laundry that a person can walk away from by choice. The only people I've known who could do that, were sociopaths. Lots of insufferable people who have no idea what real pain is, tell those suffering from it to "buck up" and stop bothering others about it. I know what the OP is talking about. Those of us who have suffered real injury, can no more set it aside and move on, than someone who has been sliced open in a car wreck, can choose not to bleed. Healing psychological and emotional damage, like physical damage, is something which the sufferer can help along, but it isn't up to us to simply end it. And no, it is also not true that we will heal best, by isolating ourselves from the rest of the world, and waiting for everything to be as new again. We are all a part of each others' lives. People who do well in the world, only do so because others have suffered, and because you learned from, or even directly benefited from their mistakes, as well as from your own. Those of us who have been hurt, will only recover by continuing to try, even knowing we do so at the expense of others. But then, the people who suffer because they were a part of our healing process, benefit themselves from having done so. It's all about being humans in a human world. So no, we don't do well if we wallow in our pain, or celebrate it as though it's an accomplishment. But it's nothing that's helped by being told to shut up about it, either. |
