I really don't understand the whole thing about obnoxious hand gestures and sticking out your tongue. This is coming from guys who are in their 40's and 50's. I see this form a 15-year-old kid, not a grown man. What does it mean? I think I can answer that, actually. Everything people do with their profiles, they do because they think it will work for whatever they are trying to do, and because of how they think the world works. Some people will make gawky goofy faces when they are photographed because they are embarrassed by the process of trying to present themselves as a "product." Some try to compensate and rebel, by faking gang signs (very unwise) or making rude gestures. Well, one time recently, I saw a man with a picture giving the middle finger. I just had to say, "why are you on a dating site and giving women the finger?" he said something like, "It's for a certain type of women on here that you wouldn't understand." It was really lame and offensive.
Possible explanation: the fact that you asked him why he did that, made it clear that you weren't turned on by "negging." That's the technique where a guy puts on a false front of disliking a woman, in opes that she will be fooled into trying to prove to him that she IS desirable after all. So in a way, he was complimenting you. |

I've yet to have heard of a six year old who recognized that he could get laid if he pretended to dislike women. You find one, I suggest you at least invest in his further education. Probably genius there.
