Topic: why are some people living a fake life?

I think a lot of people live a fake life on the internet because they live a fake one in real life too. Many spend so much time in cyber living because their narcissism and delusional thoughts play out with little grounding by others. Just call out someone on something once, and watch the hysteria ensue. And the avatars are a perfect example of people choosing what they want to look like rather than what they really are. If people feel they are as sexy as an avatar why don't they just use their picture then? Because deep down they know they are not. In real life, we know those people suffer, but it's their loss to live. No sense wasting to much thought about them.

I think a lot of people live a fake life on the internet because they live a fake one in real life too. You ever see a drag queen? Everything is drag. You wear jeans instead of dockers or slacks or a suit? You're presenting an image you want people to see. You wear a t-shirt rather than a tank top or button down or sweater? You're presenting an image you want people to see. You go to the salon and have your hair styled? You cut it short rather than long? Get a tattoo? Get a piercing? Dye your hair? Wear heels? Got a toupee? Create an online personality? It's all drag. It's just camouflage you heap on yourself. Some need more than others to protect themselves and/or try to express who they want to be seen as.

No PacificStar but I did notice his interests are tell you later, and his about me is also blank??? So who is hiding themselves? Who is being fake? Couldn't even say what kind of musician or what he plays?

Well some are not happy of living a fake life but they want to do what people are doing and you know am myself and you are your self if you behve like me you are fake.

Now you have a good photo, you give a little about the music you like, and you have a nice about me section. Definitely different and improved!

Some people have miserable personal/real lives that sometimes they create new lives on the internet where they can be the happy person they want to be. It gives them some relief from the dreary real world they live in. There are many reasons why people do the things they do, but this is one of them.
