I get to know them first before I accept friendship.
I was on here for 4 months before I accept this guy's friendship. I got to know him on the threads and private emails turned out to be an awesome friend who is honest and caring. We are still mates today.

I agree, I don't accept friend requests unless we interact in the forums enough. Then I will send a friend request after I feel comfortable enough to do that.

I have noticed that some tend to believe that lots of friends denotes things it doesn't always say.

If you have only one sex or type of friend then the viewer may conclude you have a type or preference for one group.

If you have friends with in some groups they will skip you.

It is really kind of a misdirection to assume much from that feature because often it just means you post a lot and have gotten a lot of requests.

I think it is often going to hurt feeling if you delete friend requests so I tend to let them just set until I decide one way or another.

I don't know if you can delete testimonials but I don't give them so I would probably find them embarrassing.
