Apparently, I use to kid myself. When asked the question, I would answer honestly (I thought) that I am single because I choose to be, I refuse to settle, I prefer to be alone than to accept less than I wanted. Alas, I lived in a fantasy world.

The truth, according to JSH and the forums...

I have learned I am single because...

At 5'8" 135 lbs...
I am too fat
I am too skinny
I don't have curves in the right places
or too many curves in some places
I am not fit enough, active enough or I am too energetic (for the odd person)

I don't have the right hair colour, eye colour, skin tone and in some cases the right fingernail polish colour (the one thing I am willing to discuss changing)

I use too much humour (is that even possible?) or I am not humourous enough

I do not watch tv, so do not appeal to the masses...however, for some, as I read a lot of action/thriller novels, I am not "intellectual enough" and waste my time with drivel as appose to classics...hmmm

Okay, keeping notes here people...moving on...oops deja view there...

I don't drive the right kinda car, eat in the right kinda restaurants (what do you mean A & W doesn't count?) and I am a Timmies freak ( and they say thats a negative? what world do you live in?)

Okay, some of that I can even see...but moving on...

I am single because...

I don't shave my arms...no, read it again, I didn't say I don't shave my pits...I don't shave my arms. This is apparently now extremely unattractive...okay, whatever

I don't have piercings...tats...ride a motorcycle (hangs head in shame and has to admit...can't even ride a bicycle, DON'T ask)

I am single because...

I am too friendly, too loud (I will admit, I have never been accused of being too quiet, ah maybe once), too independent, not amibitous enough, haven't travelled enough or lived in too many places...I admit it...I'm starting to get a little confused

I have been known to have hangnails, am not a neat freak, while I know how to bake bread - I do not cook on a regular basis (isn't that what A & W is for? no not the bread, cooking, keep up will ya).

I have freckles, moles, scars and even the dreaded stretch marks. I know...I'm hanging my head in shame, again, blushing

And apparently thats just the tip of the iceberg...
Moving on...

I am single because...

There are things that are not shaved...that should be...and things that are waxed that shouldn't be...wtf? I admit it...I am confused...who knew some men like...bush..y...eyebrows? But they want me to shave my arms? No, not the pits...I do that anyway...keep up...

I am too educated for some...but also, not educated enough...am using spell check...I am...I'm English, that explains the "ours"

Oops and for some, that also is an issue, I'm English...some like, some don't

I dance and dance and dance...why do "some" men have a problem with women who like to dance? I'm not asking you to dance with...just sit back, drink your beer and I'll call ya when I want ya (did I mention I am apparently too opinionated?)

I don't have children, don't want children...but love to play with children...how can all of that be a negative?

I am single because...

I laugh too loud, too hard, too long
I have friends and a life and cannot devote 24/7
I have a brain
I have batteries and am not afraid to use them
I eat...shut up!
I am not a vegetarian, will not turn my nose up at trying different foods and can tell the difference in taste between cow and moose (prefer the cow)
I don't have baggage but have a luggage set
I drink beer
I listen to country music...and hip hop...and rock...and (head hung) newfie

Did I also mention I am an insomniac? Could ya tell?

And while I can go on...I won't...

Oh, but it has been said, I can't keep a story short.

However, that was a list of some of the reasons...according to the forums...that I am single, I am sure I missed quite a few.

Feel free to add.
