I believe that a two way communication requires listening and talking , and for a spontaneous and effective conversation questions are always being asked using WHAT, WHO, WHEN, WHY, WHERE and HOW. We ask questions in order to know or to get necessary information and formulate your ideas or opinion. So, definitely there is nothing wrong with asking questions on a date, except the inappropriate ones. Asking questions would also show your interest with the other person. Can you imagine a date , that you are the only one talking or listening........no questions asked? FLOP! BORING! NO INTEREST! I would say, TALK TO THE HAND! Lol!

On a date I don't do the 20 question thing..Nor will I answer the 20 question thing..
I am not at an interview nor do I want to be interviewed the person will reveal who they are as time goes on. The same as I will.

A bit of give and take is fine.

If the connection is good then the conversations should flow easily to where both people can get to know one another.

Honestly if I felt like I had to ask or be asked 5 or 6 questions while I am waiting for my drink to arrive. There is a problem.

I agree I kind of got the gist that is what this and other posters were referring to. I am like you I don't hold to rules about what and time things should happen...

i meet a lady last week, Marcia. and with Miss Rains advice things are going great. i am finding that if i talk about my family then she will do the same. BUT be careful what you say about your family. dont talk about uncle joe in jail. just tell the funny side of your family. then she tells about her family pay attention to what and how she says about her family. you DONT need 20 Qs thanks Miss Rains

My initial set of questions are casual and geared for conversation. Farther down the road I will ask the ones that are more in depth.
