All good advice Leenin!

Now for my 1/2 a cent.

The physical is what catches your eye and entices you to want to communicate and learn more.

It is what is inside the morals, values, beliefs which you discover that lead you to infatuation, and eventually to fall in love with someone. I think Charles had this point. So sometimes the things inside a person are much more attractive than the outside.

The long term dedication experienced by datwasntme, ais69, and even myself comes when your relationship has a solid foundation based on intimate knowledge of your partner which developed over time.

True love can withstand changes in appearance whether good or bad because you are connected at an intimate level with what is inside the other person.

For me, physical appearance doesn't affect my love for someone, whether he's good looking or not I don't care because what's important is the heart of a person. In my previous relationship I never bothered to look on the outside appearance, at first there was no attraction though I like him because he's nice and a gentleman and we have become good friends first. As you go along and with the constant presence of that person in your life, you will get to see other attributes in him that you will appreciate and you will learn to love the true beauty of his heart. Beauty fades but love only grows more stronger in time as you appreciate the goodness in one's heart. I have never imagined I would fall deeply in love with him even when I see some flaws in him, still, I have accepted his imperfections and learned to love all of him.

Take time to get to know him, don't go after the looks. It may take some time to develop that feelings with someone you are not physically attracted with but the emotional attachment will be a greater force you could ever imagine that would bring you to the heights of unimaginable love you'll ever experience, a gut wrenching- heart squeezing-brain racking-thirst quenching kind of love
