Emily Blunt, regrets U.S. citizenship after she watches Presidential debate. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/09/15/emily-blunt-becoming-us-citizen-terrible-mistake-after-watching-gop-debate/#/ British-born actress Emily Blunt became a naturalized U.S. citizen in August, but she said one thing has made her question her decision--watching the Republican Presidential debate. "I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate, and I thought, 'This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?'" she told the Hollywood Reporter while promoting the movie "Sicario" at the Toronto Film Festival. Last week on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Blunt expressed additional reservations. "I'm not sure I'm entirely thrilled about it," she said. "People ask me about the whole day. They were like, 'Oh, it must have been so emotional.' I was like, 'It wasn't! It was sad!' I like being British." The reaction on Twitter was overwhelmingly anti-Blunt. Blunt, 32, went through the naturalization process with Matthew McConaughey's wife Camila Alves, and said the hardest part for her was pledging her non-allegiance to her former queen. "It wasn't specifically Queen E, but she knows," she said. "The thing that's weird is I do get to keep both my British citizenship and this, but you have to renounce her. So, it's kind of typically American -- not to be rude -- but I had to renounce her in the room but I don't actually, technically renounce her. They were like, 'Just say it. You don't have to mean it, but just say it.'" Blunt is married to American actor John Krasinski, best know for his role in "The Office." * 3 great Tw@tter comments on link. Video time is 1:28 * |

Oh so it wasnt Hillary's email-gate? What a hack. Bet she loves those American dollars though.naturalized U.S. citizen in August, but she said one thing has made her question her decision--watching the Republican Presidential debate. ![]() You just gotta laugh at actors and singers and their "listen and agree with my views" attitude just because they think theyre famous. Theyre nothing more than today's court jesters....sing for me, dance for me....then sit down and shut the frick up. |

Someone sent this message, from an entertainment section.
And that is exactly how I see it. I don't care where she is from, she is in the entertainment industry, so who cares what her political views are or aren't? ![]() Is her ego that disillusioned, that she believes Americans care? And we will magically change, because she is running her mouth ? Guess she hasn't lived here long..., If she thinks she is planting seeds... she should focus in an English garden ![]() * I don't think, any publicity is good publicity.. but maybe she does * Ugh.. here poor, long suffering American husband... he needs a hashtag to divorce & deport her. ![]() I am going to find some rappers now, & read their enlighten opinion, & then write my congressman. ![]() |

She must be famous or something.
I'd honestly never heard of her, until this thread. Britain called; Seems their village is missing it's idiot. |

Given the number of American born Americans, here and elsewhere, who bitterly declare every day that they regret America being as it is, this isn't really something to pay mind to.
