Now that you come to mention it though, it does occur to me that older women don't tend to have as good eyesight and they can complain about pictures being blurry that younger women think are fine. I've certainly never had a young woman telling me that she can't make out much from my pictures and I probably get more mail from younger women.

I've had women that had only seen my picture on the forums thinking that I'm much younger and I've considered lying about my age. Do you think that I should do that?

I don't mean this in a cruel way, but I thought you were a bit older than 46, I just checked.

So you should keep your age the truth. Even if you looked 30, you should still tell the truth because when people find out, they will think you have told porky's about everything.

Nah, women lie about their ages all the time and nobody thinks that makes them compulsive liars.

You really trying to tell me you're thirty six?

If you have to lie in order to date, you need to rethink your priorities. You also need to think about what's gong to happen they find out you lied, and they usually do. The truth nearly always comes out....and it never ends well.

I firmly agree
I am always "me" anywhere

How about if I say that it's not my real age. On my profile I mean. In the text description. I'll tell them that they have to guess how old I am. It could be a good way to get responses.

Well you could ... I have to tell you though if you would play with something so simple I would have to wonder what else isn't real. Again you have to do what is comfortable for you. I am not going to judge you.

Just don't get offended if you get answers that you're not looking for. Ask someone how old they think you are and they say 60 or something, don't bring out the insults, since you did ask them. I agree about just being upfront. Sounds like too much game playing and messing around. I guess I'm mentally older than hell, because I really wouldn't have time for that crap...I see a guy I like, he likes me back, we go for coffee. We have a chat, we discuss our common interests, either make a connection or we don't. All that game playing and putting on airs and trying be something we're not just to make an impression, the idea of it gives me a headache.

Right. So now you're saying that somebody might think that I'm sixty? This gets better and better. Do you think that my photos make me look fat?

I was throwing 60 out there as an example. Personally I'm no good at judging ages, I have an idea of how one should look at a certain age, but they rarely do. Especially where I live, most people look at least 20 years older than their actual age, I blame it on hard mountain living.....

You don't look fat.

I had a guy tell me once that I could have been 26-50 as far as he was concerned. Totally pissed me off, basically because no one asked him. Now if I had asked him his opinion and he shot back with that nonsense, I'd figured oh, well, I got what I paid for. So I never ask. I still get carded when buying beer though, so he's a moron.laugh

Yes. I suppose I would look skinny to an American.

Over here I'm considered to be quite portly though and most people look about a hundred, so I reckon I could probably get away with saying that I'm thirty.

Yes. It is interesting. When I was in America what I noticed was how small everybody's manhood was compared to mine. Even the black guys.

Yeah but if you saw them in a pub toilet as well that would probably make a more interesting story.
