You tell me not to be afraid
But how can I not Fear has always been a part of me Afraid of this Afraid of that As the years passed My fears changed From little girl fears To grown woman fears But still always the fear is there Nothing I can do to change them They are what they are Mostly kept hidden in an old mason jar Hidden deep within me So that no one may see I put up a great front An actress I seem So strong, fearless I seem Facing everything handed to me But they are there, those fears Eating away at my soul Causing my soul to grow cold But you see them And you probe deeper for them You continue to probe A need to see them feel them Know them intimately To become one with them My fears now open upon a page To be read by any one who dares To see that I am after all Just human... |

Don't you wish you could let people see whats in your mind some times?
That's what poetry is all about...letting people discover what is in your heart and mind.

The days are long and lonely
The nights are longer still I think about you all the time And I guess I always will I can close my eyes and see you the way you looked that day I can see the tears roll down your face As you turn and walk away Im sorry that I broke your heart but mine got broken too I'll never lover another man The way that I love you So darling dont forget me even tho were far apart My love you'll have forever Because you still have my heart. |
