Smiley face but no question mark
So let me guess ...

An ability to read fine, fine print
On pages, light and easily torn ...
But not asunder
Under a Yoruba roof
Where Crown meets Wealth
And she, bedecked in
Buba
Iro
Gele
Iborun
Ipele
Shall reside as Monarch...

Juliet, Juliet, wherefore art thou
Oh Noble Woman?

In the words of a pop song made famous by that Field Artillery Cannon Crewman in the 10th Marines during Operation Desert Storm, "It Wasn't Me" ...

However, to get back on topic I do hope our companion will have success in his quest... Oh Lord another song pops into mind, "Have You Seen Her".

Really, seriously, happy mingling. I haven't even got around to clearly stating the sort of nobility I am seeking. So there, i chide myself.

Adelola4real, nah feel no fret as we are a friendly bunch and I genuinely wish you success.

One Love & Irie Ites

The 1st step to all things is a single step forward and a glimpse back too remind us where we have been, who we were and how wonderful we have become.

I am new to the area, only here a few weeks and LOVE the town/city, the people and the comfort shared by a huge community. Looking forward to many more days in the city, in here and finding new friends.

Do you understand the ability this woman can do?
Do you trust her?

Proverbs 31:10-31
The Virtuous Wife
10 Who can find a virtuous[c] wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

If you look at a woman closely you will find she does this, may not be all once but over a period of time she does.

I have met many on here and around me that do this and have been doing it for a long time.

I remember studying this chapter in my 20's and feeling very overwhelmed and defeated. I look at it in my 50's and know that I have done all these things and more.

OP what you are looking for can be found and yet I have to ask the question.

Can you love her as Christ commanded that is a tall order. I mean a tall one.

Best wishes to you.

Hi Sitka, I've been thinking about this topic and the same sort of question came to mind.

Is there a verse in the Bible that we can find which actually describes the nature and character of the man whom is qualified ... (oooppps) I mean just looking to find himself a "Virtuous Wife"?

Does he only need to have eyes? What clarity of personal insight will he have? What virtues will he himself possess? Is this Virtuous wife gonna meet and fall n love with him? Or was it some sort of an pre-arranged marriage in those days?

After careful consideration I reckon that this is a mighty fine topic and would like to commend Adelola4real for 'dropping' it down here in this corner of the www so that we can apply our minds to this whole relationship business. Who knows in this way we may well be paving the way for her eventual arrival ...sort of like heralds, if you know what I mean.

The bible well the King James version which I read to my knowledge doesn't state a grocery list for a man like it does for a woman. Must be the times it was written.

I do know there are several passages that talk about Godly men and what is expected of them.

Paul speaking for Jesus does give a charge to men.

In Ephesians 5:22-33 A man is given some pretty clear instructions on how he is to love his wife and treat her. Yes.

The sad thing is a lot of times if said man isn't clean of corruption they can take it too far.

Thank you ma'am.

btw, I do think that this here topic is gonna break all records for a single day number of views! Is it truly said that God works in mysterious ways? If so, I would like to be the first to nominate the Noble Woman for an award. Can I get a witness to that?!

I do think we have a witness. Maybe I too need a nomination for my prescience! Anybody care to second me on that? Or is calling for a seance a bit too much? rofl

Welcome jambaansu ...
