DONT
especially when you are in canada, living for more than two years makes the law see you as "married", and half of your stuff belongs to her when (not if) you split. Dont. The living costs can be shared but the price is your independence. And nothing should be worth more than your independence- social, financial, legal. Plus that means you can assess her ability to live independently too. Can she cook, wash, keep her finances in balance? It gives you a place to retreat from fights, a legal safe space - "no you do not own this property, i can ask you to leave or call the cops on you." and about a thousand other reasons. |

Live-in...What is your perspective?
Treat it like a business arrangement? Write it down, figure out finances before hand, do it legal in terms of leases and names on bills, don't just base it on blind faith and trust because of your "feelings?" |

I am not compatible with many people in my space.
Especially if they smother you with consistent double standard rules.... or talk. |
