I've met quite a few interesting people.Some psychos,some with emotional
baggage,some who just don't know what they really are looking for.Has
anyone MET someone yet? Can you actually say "Hey,this online dating
thing really works!I'm telling my friends about it!"

I have not actually met anybody in person, although I would if the right

I have been on programs similar to this one on and off for about 6
years. I met my best friend through one. Got a job through another
one. Found a couple of great guy friends, Took a couple of trips to
meet folks, Sold some of my minis to folks I met online, And met
someone very special (no details on this one, I dont kiss and tell).
Anyway, point is I have met in person a dozen or so people from online
in the last 6 years. No one has turned out to be a "soul mate" but not
everyone is. They are just great additions to your life in their own
ways.

I have meet a few folks from on line. Most of them are pretty cool and
were still friends.

I would not recommend meeting anyone from the get go though, I would
chat for a long time and get to know them. Never give them to much
personal information. Always meet (when the time comes) in a public
place and stay there. Let someone know where you are and who you are
meeting.

As you can see I am a safety girl. I have even taken my kids with me to
meet some folks for lunch.

The thing is spirt, everyone is different, but please be safe out there.

That wasn't even the topic.She went off into a whole other thing.I know
how to be safe and being safe is NOT taking your kids to meet someone
YOU don't even know. What if he was a child molester? She just gave him
a few more victims.Anyway,so far one person says she met someone using
online dating.That's still not enough to say this thing really works.

i think maybe you shoudl have rephrased the question

assume I would take my young children to meet anyone on line.

And like I said.. I chat with these folks for a long time. I am not
talking about a few weeks.... I am talking Months and maybe years. I
have been chatting on line for 10 years now. I did not meet my first
*BUNCH* of friends till I have chatted with them for 2 years.

The thing is, it takes time and patience.

I think this is turning into something serious badguy.The experts need

whenever you meet someone online...you don't know who they are...so take
all yer friends with you to th first meet if you get that far,here...th
