My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, is this dating site really suitable for genuine christians?

You need to understand that on the whole, the web site (Mingle2) is not exclusively for Christians. You also need to accept that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is necessarily living in compliance with Biblical instructions.

Knowing these, I hope, lessens the burden expressed in your thread.

You can't control what others do...but you can control what you do.

I total agree with Jesusmyall. You can't control anyone but you can hope they are living a good Christian life.

Jesusmyall, your contribution is very much respected. I'm aware that 'Mingle2' is not exclusively for christians, hence I used the words 'suitable' at the start of the thread. I also took into account that not all who claim to be christian are in compliance to the Bible, hence I used the words 'genuine christians'.

God laid it on my heart to advise naive christian users of this site for dating purpose to be vigilant. I appreciate that some of us are being used by God in here to inspire others.

Indeed we can't control what others do but we have a responsibility to warm/remind fellow christians of a 'risk'. James 4:17 says that we sin if we know what is good but fail to do it.

Cajunman 1985, thanks for your contribution. I hope my reply Jesusmyall's post clarify the misunderstanding, as this is not about trying to "control anyone". Who am I to control someone! God doesn't; hence He allows us to choose between 'life' and 'death'.

I think I have also observed that very few do express in their profiles as being born again of being genuine Christians....you have to search immensely to find a few profiles stating this expressly: some actually do.

But I do believe that there also may be Christians who probably did not deem it fit to state this expressly in their profile. But whether it is stated or not, as you interact and observe, the Spirit of the LORD will help you discern. Apart from discernment as a gift, another way to discern is to check to see if what they say tallies with the word of God- the Bible.

Disappointing it isn't? I also joined because I thought it was a Christian dating site. Some of those who describe themselves as "born again" or "genuine christians", "God fearing" etc turn out to be fake, scammers, deceivers, time-wasters, pornstars or working for porn industries, etc when you get to find out more about them.

If my first impression of your concern is correct; can I make it abundantly clear that my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, therefore not on here to seduce or make anyone lust after me. You can see that I'm decently dressed compared to the half-naked or naked photos in some profiles on this site. What do you think of the semi-nude or nude photos that stares at you and other christians each time you logon to this site?
