Where to go on a date;some that have been fun.

Have them join you volunteering somewhere. my favorites are Habitat and Special Olympics.

Invite them to a to join you signing up for a class. Lunch in the student union won't break ya.

Ask them to take pictures for class reunion or date site in a park. Disposable camera is fine.

Ask them to help you Christmas shop for Salvation Army Angel tree recipient.

Invite them to help you take a pet to the vet or the dog park. Ask them to go see new pet babys.

Be your date when you get an award or promotion.

Ask them to go car shopping but don't talk to the finance people until you are alone.

Ask someone to keep you company while you wait for jury duty. Take paper and write notes back and forth.

Go to an auction.

Ask them to go visit your Grand-parents with you. Less intimidateing than the folks.

Ask them to go to the Dentist with you. If you are all fresh and polished you know you deserve a kiss. Then spring for chocolates...lol.

Ask them to go Halloween costume shopping. If it is after the holiday fine find a bargain and you have a year to change your mind about the costume.

Ask them to paint something. Most people can handle that.

Ask people to go to a nurshery and suggest ideas for plants or landscapeing.

Ask someone to go fantasy shopping. Take notes and the one who gets closest to a set amount wins lunch.

Ask some one to help you food shop for a shelter or food bank on a sunday afternoon. Plan a list and clip coupons together. Maybe you can only spend a little but it is an opportunity to talk about favorite comfort foods. Deliver it together on the next date.

I've always liked doing the museum or zoo thing, it keeps the date interesting cause you have things to talk about. I've also done the night time boat cruise thing but one time the girl got sick and she never spoke to me again lol. frown

Done 2 fun family dates recently. Race for the Cure. Had the nicest time, raised funds for breast cancer research and got some exercise. Also went to a farm for a corn maze. Alas, we did not make it to the maze (my son had fallen asleep in the car and was cranky), but had a blast wandering around the farm.

Still for the first date, I do like the 'boring' coffee or a drink date. Makes everything easier on everyone.

I think you need to meet first then plan to take her to where your heart desires. No good planning for something and you will not enjoy it because there is no click.

Heaps of great places to see and you will enjoy spending the money when you know both will enjoy it. It could be just one date but as long you both have fun.

I talked to a guy online a while back, he and his date planned for a while for a dirty nite, with all the trimmings that comes with that. I remembered him e-mailing me to wish him luck. It turned out bad but both foot the bill evenly. The sad part was when they got home, the sheila got hurt, she turned nasty and the man didn't have the guts to tell her, its no good, not gonna happen and hid from her for a while.

So meet before investing into a date

I like the idea of miniature golfing or bowling or something to that nature! It breaks the ice and lets one be them self, a lot easier than being at dinner and everything is so quiet. Being quiet on the first date makes one feel like they are kinda "On the spot"...
