Have them set the date at the begining of Dec. that way it
is spaced out far enough from Christmas so there won't be so much stress. Being in Dec. she should still get the effect she wants. |

At the beginning no one is sick of Christmas yet! LOL We are die-hard fanatics but not everyone is.  We are thinking of the first weekend in December. I want to thank everyone who pitched in on this 'survey' I read everything to my daughter this morning. We sat here mulling over all the options. She had thought the middle of December, but now is willing to back it up a week. YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to suggest after Christmas. The pre-holiday stress of shopping, etc is out of the way...and some folks might have an easier time getting off work.

Actually Texas I would agree with you in a heartbeat .. but they ended up picking smack in the middle of the season .. not even the 7th like we were talking but the 14th.
Breathe in, breathe out. I DID say it was THEIR wedding, right?

Well I can't pass judgement on this topic because I got married on Dec. 17th. I had originally wanted the 3rd but it wasn't good for his cousin in the service (his best man). I didn't hear any complaints from the family. (not about the date anyway, the groom was another story)

Either way, I WILL be there lol but I have to agree, pre holiday season would be better. Just because, like you Judy, Christmas is a BIG deal in my family, and to come btw Christmas and New Years, I dont think I could do. :(

Tomorrow we book "the Place" where we will have the reception .. My oldest daughter is going to be the wedding coordinator and can give Jessica more time before the wedding if we make it the 14th .. so the 14th it is!

if it were me id do it before christmas. and if anyone had a problem with a date i chose, they could just keep their grinchy selves at home

well it is her wedding and it sounds beautiful; always wanted that but then again, i had a biker wedding and got married in a black-out so what do i know!

i got married on top of a mountain. my grandma was upset over it and didnt want it on the mountain. she even said she wasnt coming if i had it there. i went on to have it on top of the mountain and she showed up
