I'll never agree with the war in Iraq. I don't care how you want try and justify it.

thers really no justification for war. my point is when you find your country involved in one..... WIN. lETS NOT COME running hom to mommy because it took more than two weeks or we got our noses bloodied. I was one of the few voices against the war before we went there. I said that before it is over it will make vietnam look like a short one. Since we ARE there though, lets win. lETS DO ANYTHING IT TAKES TO FINISH THE JOB, PREFERABLY FAST.
another thing... YOU cant support the troops and not the war. from a vets perspective its laughable thinking. those who would have us pull out prematurly would make all the sacrifices and hard work not worth while.

My sweetheart is being sent over to Iraq to serve on the front lines. He leaves the end of next month for 15-20 months. Infantry. I am scared to death.

It is amazing! At least with the vetreans of this ****, I can see a hesitation to give up the justification they felt, when they were conned by the coward Bush to put their lives on the line.

Why does "supporting the troops" mean keeping them at war? Our troops did what they were trained to do and brought down Saddam Hussein in about 3 weeks. The WAR is over. We are now in an OCCUPATION that we have no control over and that will never end. Junior Bush has created an unwinnable situation that he is going to string out and hand off to the next president. Why? So he can say that HE didn't quit. And speaking of the word spineless. This war/occupation could have been over a long time ago if the Congress wasn't full of a bunch of spineless jellyfish Republicans who block every effort to bring our boys and girls home. It's going to take 67 votes in the Senate and 290 in the House to end this thing. And THAT requires Republican votes that aren't there.

This war was wrong from the beginning. Everybody knows it whether they admit it or not. And it needs to end. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait at least until Jan. 2009 when Bush and his fellow Chickenhawks leave office for good.

I am very comfortable with my insistence that the war end NOW....that to truly support
our troops means bring them home NOW....Surely most here are intelligent enough to
realize that this will not be over after a new president (puppet) is elected...there is only
ONE candidate calling for immediate withdrawl from this mess..the rest are only hacks for
Aipac or the international bankers...that want this war to go on & on to postpone the
economic collapse that is long overdue...We are building permanent bases there...WHAT
DOES THAT TELL YOU?....duh.....
