Here's a silly idea -

What if the public prosecutor's office and the public defender's office were the same office? That the choice of prosecutor got pulled from the same hat as the public defender? That sometimes any given attorney was prosecuting and some other time defending?

Think it would give them any more sense of justice?

I think it would.

Being a lawyer is not about justice. The court, the judge & the jury & the laws of that jurisdiction is.

Any there are many kinds of lawyers, real estate, family law etc.
It is a job & filled with political agenda. Society gets what it settles for & what an individual can & can not afford.

An attorney can explain to you,
what "conflict of interest" is.

....

If I were ever put on trial, I sure as Hell wouldn't want to be defended by the same law firm, that's prosecuting me.

What if the public prosecutor's office and the public defender's office were the same office?

Then I think people would leave public service at a greater rate.

That the choice of prosecutor got pulled from the same hat as the public defender?

to me this is like saying "why not just put all teachers in a big hat and randomly assign grades for them to teach each year? I think this would improve a child's education."

Think it would give them any more sense of justice?

No.
I think it would burn them out of the system if they had no real choice over their career and what they wanted to focus on or specialize in.
