Topic: UFO's and Aliens | |
---|---|
What is YOUR take on these phenomena? Mine: Personally, I got into UFO's and Aliens 3 years ago while stumbling upon a program on netflix. This documentary was as dumb as the rest until..they got into talking about the abduction process theory. When I was 18 years old, I had a very vivid, nearly lucid dream that I could never forget. I was sleeping on my side, and in my dream I floated straight through the wall, and up towards the sky looking down at my trailer, then the trailer park, then my city, then the illuminated country and western hemisphere, and then beyond planet earth. I do NOT believe I was abducted by aliens I'm not crazy, but it just fascinated me that according to alleged abductees, the first recollections of these abduction phenomena began with something very similar to this. Also, until further study, I had always wondered what was going on when I would experience sleep paralysis. That is until I studied it and found out what it is and that it only happens at certain times, being that it's a natural function based on sleeping patterns. However, all this being said; for some reason, I am fascinated with UFO books, documentaries, the Dulce base, etc. So what does everybody else think about the topic? Were you sleeping on a water bed? |

Why haven't I ever seen one? if you see something flying, and you don't know what it is, it's a UFO... doesn't necessarily mean from outer space... |

I think soon, we will hear from the Pope and/ or President that extraterrestrials are coming, and/ or here. I for one, will not believe it. |

I am fairly certain that it such things did exist, as soon as they saw how messed up things are here, and how badly people treat people; they would turn tail and fly back home.

The Vatican believes finding alien life would have no impact on the teachings of the Bible AUGUST 06, 2015 1:27PM Father José Gabriel Funes likes to find the balance between science and the Catholic Chur Father José Gabriel Funes likes to find the balance between science and the Catholic Church. Source: Twitter MATTHEW DUNN news.com.au ON a leafy hilltop in the Italian town of Castel Gandolfo, an Argentinian Jesuit named Father José Gabriel Funes runs the Vatican’s robust astronomy program. Working out of one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world, Fr. Funes has long been open to the prospect of discovering extraterrestrial life. And following discoveries such as Earth 2.0, he believes we might be edging closer to finding proof of life somewhere in the universe. “It is probable there was life and perhaps a form of intelligent life,” he told AFP. However, he believes it is unlikely we will ever get to meet such life forms. “I don’t think we’ll ever meet a Mr Spock.” Fr. Funes said if the unlikely event of meeting an alien were to occur, it would have little impact on the Vatican’s beliefs. “If there was intelligent life (on another planet), I don’t see that as a contradiction with the Christian faith,” he said. “The Bible is not a scientific book. “If we look for scientific responses to our questions in the Bible, we are making a mistake.” Fr. Funes added the Bible would not be rewritten to reflect the findings if they occurred. “The discovery of intelligent life does not mean there’s another Jesus,” he said. “The incarnation of the son of God is a unique event in the history of humanity, of the Universe.” While Fr. Fumes wouldn’t say whether the Vatican would consider trying to convert aliens to Catholicism, one of his colleagues suggests otherwise. Guy Consolmagno said he would be delighted to baptise an alien if they asked him. “Any entity — no matter how many tentacles it has — has a soul,” he told the Guardian. http://mobile.news.com.au/technology/science/the-vatican-believes-finding-alien-life-would-have-no-impact-on-the-teachings-of-the-bible/story-fnjwlcze-1227471636473/ |
