To be RESPECTED; is to Respect!.
To be UNDERSTOOD; is to Understand!.
To be HONEST to; is to be Honest!.
To be ATTENTIVE to; is to be Attentive!.
To be COMPLIMENTED; is to
Compliment!..
To be GIVEN gifts, is to Give!.. &So on..

These are great FaCts most People fail to understand,
that whatever you want from a Person, is to also be Reciprocated by you..
You dont expect to be Loved while you dont Love!, You
dont expect to be treated like a King/Queen without
treating them d same way!,
You dont expect to be Given d World when you cant even
give them a State. lol!..
Just know this today that If you are a Self Centered Person, You'd be soo far
from Love!, for Anyone who comes close to you & finds
this in you, will Flee
instantly..

So; Be who &How you want to be Treated in
Relationships.

Here's the problem with this.

A looooooooot of people do all the things you say, because they expect it back.
It's a transaction.

I can't tell you how many times I've read in a profile something along the lines of:
"I've cooked for a man, I've cleaned for a man, I treat my man like a king! I got nothing for it! Now it's my turn! You must be...You must do..."

IOW

a lot of "self centered" people can exhibit all the things you say (love, respect, understanding, honesty, attention, compliments), but they only do it as a means to get more of it back.

And IMO a lot of it has to do for reading things like the OP or being trained that way.
"To be LOVED; is to love?! Well, that must be the secret then! If I just act loving, then I am entitled to love from them, they have to behave a certain way...and if they don't behave that way, then that MUST mean it's THEIR fault I'm not feeling how I'm supposed to, because I'm loving and that's the equation, it's THEIR fault and they're a self centered bad person because I'm not getting what I want."


There are a lot more "great FaCts" people fail to understand in a practical sense in regards to human beings.

I sympathize with your intent with this, OP, but from my aged position, I have to say that it's a TON more complicated than your way of expressing it accounts for.

Each of the items you listed can have it's own very involved history for each individual. Learning to deal with other people is vastly more difficult than learning to do do anything else you can even imagine.

Each of the aspects and elements that you listed can be sources of honesty, and of duplicity. Each can be confused by earnest people such as yourself, pushing to follow through with them, and then ironically doing the exact OPPOSITE of them, BECAUSE they push so hard.

Just do one thing before you or anyone else tries to obey the logic of your idealism: examine each single element, and ask yourself if you actually, and deeply, and thoroughly understand it, just within yourself.

Really.

Then ask if you actually, and deeply, and thoroughly understand each element in SOMEONE ELSE'S mind.

If you are able to be honest with yourself, you will recognize that you don't, and can't completely comprehend what it is to be that other person, much less to be entirely who you wish you were.

That's why I finally realized that all of this has to be viewed, not as a single set of specific accomplishments, but as a never ending PROCESS OF INTERACTION.

And nothing interferes more with the reality of it all, than being certain ahead of time, that you know how each other is SUPPOSED to behave.

It must be lecture time.
