The Name on Page One
It seems that your name is still in there On page one of my address book Before all the letters and personal info The first name on page one is you I bought a new book to replace it And transferred the names one by one And before all the letters and personal info Your name is still there on page one. Been awhile since I dialed that number I wonder if it’s any good It’s a key to my memories of love, hope and faith Which I’d like to return to, if I could . What I want to return to is the feeling The sunshine and warmth that love brings To wake up each morning with love in my heart And the feeling that it’s given me wings. The roads we have taken have parted But who knows what they do up ahead Do they get further and further apart from each other Or will they once more, by chance, cross instead . As long as your name is still in there On page one of my address book There’s a chance, I must say If our paths cross some day But I think that it’s most up to you CAC (1999) Written in the aftermath |
