Josh I did it once and man let me tell you. It almost destroyed me. Don't do that to yourself you need time for YOU!

I have and I really need to get out more and meet people and take it easy, I'm young and want to be able to enjoy my life and kids.

once upon a time, my ambition and personal life conspired to make me throw myself into work in a reckless and irresponsible way. which was fun for a while but ultimately left me vaguely wanting something more....

in the end, few ever think on their deathbed, "gee, if I only could have spent one more day on the job...."

it's getting bad.....the last time i actually went out and had fun was st. patty's day when i went to the bar with some friends.....and i don't even hang out with them anymore because of my job...

Finding balance takes a lot of effort and awareness.

Don't let the loneliness get to you. I think you just have to get more creative about the way you stay in touch with your friends.

I am still trying to find my self and life, but in the same mix and staying on subject I really am to busy any more to have any fun.

I wish it was easier to meet women and have fun just as friends even, that's why because I am shy and all I turned to the internet in hopes this would work for me etc.

But what I find is wired even the simpest hello or say I noticed you like this or that from reading your profile, I still get no respond when I send out emails.

Oh well at least I have other friends on here if anything else.

I work way too much but my work is pretty much a part of my personal life too. Hmm, that sounds worse than it really is but I get by.

I mean do not get me wrong at all, I have extra time or can make the extra time rather if I can find some one who I want to better get to know and they want to do the same thing etc.

actually they stopped keeping in touch with me because i guess i grew up to much.....i'd rather grow up than be 21 and live with my parents and be unemployed tho.....so, yeah, we just all grew apart. that's why i'm here....i'm trying to make some friends that i can maybe hang out with sometime down the road....

i've noticed there's a lot of people on here.....but for every ten people i message or whatever maybe one or two will reply....

That's good, Josh! So it doesn't sound so bad! Friends come and go depending on where you are at in life. It's good that you recognize that and are making an effort to meet more people!

Maybe join a club or take a fun class at the community center. The online thing is good, but it sure doesn't replace real life friends!

outside of work i'm way too quiet to actually go somewhere and try to make friends in person...that's why i'm online.....it's easier for me when there's the option of the person your trying to talk to never knowing who you are....
