How could you trust anyone that answered that specific question?

If someone wasn't a legitimate single woman, would she tell you that she wasn't legitimate, or say to herself "gee, I was going to scam the guy, or otherwise act illegitimately towards him...but since he called us out, I guess I'll just leave him alone."
