has anyone here found real love on here
No offense...but if they found "real" love on here...would they still be here to say so? I think there might be a testimonial forum somewhere. But if you notice, none (or maybe 99.999999999999999%) of them are on the forums. |

You really should start paying attention to the forums, and actually try interacting with people, as many couples who have met on here still post on here. |

And yes, I'm one of those who found true love on here, and am here to say so.

And yes, I'm one of those who found true love on here, and am here to say so.
Can you prove it's true love rather than desperate settling? Because it can be rationally argued that hanging out on a site specifically existing for romantic social attention implies a lack of "true" love. A need for a security blanket due to emotional insecurities at the very least. If someone said "I found true love and hang out at strip clubs and brothels all day...for the buffet, and because all my friends hang out there," would you believe them? Or "I found true love, but hang around the asian handy massage parlor, because I get along with asian personalities," would you believe them? If you found your boyfriend constantly engrossed in a huge collection of playgirl (or your girlfriend engrossed in a huge collection of playboy) magazines and they said "I only read it for the articles!" would you really believe them? And is this "true" love? Or is this "we talk a lot online via email, and skype and phone...as long as we don't really have to spend a lot of time together, just talk about spending time together, and live in a fantasy, but always have something distancing us so it's more about facing a common enemy than loving each other or communicating in a meaningful way or having to look at our own problems, then it's true love!" relationships? IOW your garden variety "this is safe, distant, controlled, and makes it so I don't have to try anything real" relationship? Those are extremely common to the internet and internet forum users. Fox and blondey Sitka and pancho Mikey and mekay
And are these supposed to be "evidence?" 3 couples. Out of how many people posting to or reading the forums? Out of how big of population of people using this site? Out of how many people complaining about not finding anyone? That constitutes an exception to a rule, or margin of error. Might as well point to powerball winners to justify telling everyone to spend their entire income on lottery tickets. As I've said in my post "But if you notice, none (or maybe 99.999999999999999%) of them are on the forums." 3 couples doesn't really disprove the entirety of what I typed. As I said in my post "I think there might be a testimonial forum somewhere." The OP would be better off looking for that, the people that found it and left, as opposed to asking forum strangers routinely hanging around a dating site. You really should start paying attention to the forums, and actually try interacting with people
I really shouldn't. Due to my own reasons I occasionally pay a little more attention, like now, but I've not really been given any reason to discontinue my complacency and not use the forums as a means to kill time while having to be on the computer. The only thing that matters is responding to the OP. Everything else is pointless. Just arguing opinions or people looking for a reason to chat and pretend they are part of a group. Might as well get into "tastes great! Less filling!" battles. Some people need to look for and find battles they can control and feel they win in order to let out steam from their crap relationships because they can't do it there without endangering them, they have to shift the conflict they are avoiding somewhere. That's their business and their reasoning. Has nothing to do with me. So, no reason to pay attention to the forums or interact with anything other than the OP, there's really nothing else of value. |
