Topic: Cant find original thread....Woman pushing dead child in swi | |

.....but someone was asking for an update. Here it is:
"" (Reuters) - The death of a 3-year-old Maryland boy discovered last month in a park swing where his mother had been pushing him for three days has been ruled a homicide, authorities said on Tuesday. The boy died of dehydration and hypothermia, according to a statement from Charles County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson. Officers found the boy, Ji’Aire Lee, around 7 a.m. on May 22 after witnesses reported seeing a woman pushing a child on a swing for an unusually long time at a park in La Plata, about 35 miles (55 km) south of Washington, Richardson said. When the officers arrived they found the 24- year-old mother, who has not been identified, still pushing the child, and realized immediately that he was dead. The boy and his mother had been at the park since Wednesday morning, Richardson said. Police found them Friday. The boy was alive Wednesday when he was placed in the swing where he stayed until police found him, Richardson said. Police did not give a time of death, but Thursday's temperatures were unseasonably cold, Richardson said. There were no obvious signs of trauma. The mother was taken to a hospital for an evaluation. No charges have been filed pending a review by the Charles County State's Attorney's Office."" http://news.yahoo.com/death-maryland-boy-pushed-swing-three-days-ruled-212805331.html |

Why do we need the death penalty?
Anybody that argues against the death penalty tell me why she deserves to live. I hope they botch her lethal injection and it takes her a week to die. |

I just read this also... I do think there is more to this story.. IMO if this was just cold blooded for any reason she wouldn't have been in the park with the child for so many days.
Thanks Archer for reposting |

Makes me wonder WTF...why didn't someone approach her to check on her - the boy - both of them?

DAMMMMMM TY for the update; I had wondered whatever came about with this event! I know, if that was me, I would have checked on them, and I would have called the police even if I was slightly concerned. its shocking to think no one realized, she cant have been acting normally surely. it seems like she had one huge breakdown. also a lot of people take their children to the park a few times a week, surely at least one person, would have saw her still there the next day and/or the day after. and the child was dead, did no one notice that!!! |

What I read there was still so much more pending..They haven't even made an arrest yet due to the investigation. I am willing to bet the mother is in a mental ward.
Yes it is sad that we are not more aware of our surroundings. We all seem to busy in our own lives we miss tragedies everyday. |

while I was back in the old 'Current Events' room...I found the original thread that Tomato started Pg#3
http://mingle2.com/topic/433840 Yes, I whole heartedly agree, Debbie; while the father was making motions/sounds to obtain custody of his little guy --- once again it appears that this mother {for whatever reasons} might have been suffering from mental/medical issues and was in deep-deep need of 'HELP'! And no one offered to / or asked her / reached out to her; for 3 dam days |

I Just can't believe no one noticed something was not right.. what a sad story. Maybe the child somehow died and the Mom snapped and refused to believe the child was dead. I have read of that happening.
regardless, a very sad story |

I have read of that happening. regardless, a very sad story that's exactly what I thought, and I typed it and then edited, when I saw rebel post a article stating the child was alive before.( the first post on this thread states this) but im thinking was the child sick and dying and that's why. since I read this story ( which started on the other thread) I haven't stopped thinking about this, its just so sad and heart breaking. |
