Lots & Lots of snuggle time on the floor for all of you; getting dog to relax and rest while kitten crawls around all of you will provide dog with the 'FAMILY' idea instead of 'OH-LOOK A WARM FOOD SOURCE'!!! Substitute a dog toy to your dog anytime he decides to clamp down on little kitten - one's for play & one is not! GOOD LUCK with all that. |

OMG thank you. I have spent the last hour walking around in circles with the dog on the leash passing the kitten and praising him with chocless pudding when he doesn't lunge lol I think I'll do it your way now Dog's have to know who the pack leader is; and when 'YOU AS PACK LEADER' show by example with all of your pack down on the floor --- they'll get the message and behave accordingly! But as with all things --- this isn't fool proof if the dog has 'HISTORY' that you're not aware of! We've been a foster place for years: husband & I allocated some of our landscape equipment shed for ASPCA rescue and fostered dogs for 15yrs --- I didn't have the space here but still went out on rescue situations. Trial & Error but keep working with the dog...if it feels like part of the PACK --- it will come around. |
