Let my broken spirit mend,
In the bracing arms of she.

Let the plummet of my heart,
Be arrested in the cradle of her bosom.

Let my numb skin be revived,
By the electricity of her touch.

Let my gasping lungs be resuscitated,
By the sweetness of her breath.

Let my trembling lips be soothed,
By the caress of her kiss.

Let my raging passion mate,
With the fire of her loins.

Oh how I pray that my desperate plea,
Isn't yet again absorbed,
By the deafening silence of the solitary life,
That has served me but now plagues me.

Have you ever thought about trying any of the awards, scholarships, and or prizes they list in Poets& Writer's magazine at PW.ORG?
The subscription is around $30 but your local community college library probably has it for reading. I think your stuff is prize worthy. Pretty cool when you can make a passion also a vocation. Maybe it already is ?

PacificStar48, thank you for your generous compliment. Thus far I've been writing as an outlet, not a vocation. I wasn't aware of the Poets & Writers organization, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I visited their website, it looks like a great resource of information and community. I may submit some of my poems for contest, or publishing consideration.
