I've only been around a couple of months but even as a relative virgin I think there ought to be at least one thread into which we could toss posts we believe are...well, I've got my definitions. Who knows what others' might be?
I actually see it as a positive thing. There's value in sayin', 'Really?!?' <shrugs> |

Uh oh. what happened did someone make ya mad?

it wasn't me!
i was nowhere near your line of vision when i did it, so you can't prove it!!! |

Guilty conscience, Chicken?

Yea seems like that would be fair but hey user agreements say you can't so what you going to do?
I think you can just use the Smiley Icons. and seem to cover a lot of ground. Usually just letting the really obnoxious stuff fade off into oblivion by not reposting it is one of my favorites. The old thing "No worse punishment than silence for a fool." Enough people block someone they don't have and audience and they go away. |

For general discussion? Like the tossed post is the OP and people pick it apart or have fun with it or generally discuss it as an interesting tangent? Or to provide a list to pretend to try and make a moderator's job easier? I actually see it as a positive thing
I just see it as a thing. It could lead to more threads to respond to though. There's value in sayin', 'Really?!
IMO there isn't value in a simple one word reply. To me it seems lazy and simplistic. So someone tosses a "horse patooties" post in the thread. One person responds "really?!" And then another person (or the original author) responds "yes. Really." Thread done. Do you find that riveting and worthwhile? Or do you scroll down to something with at least a sentence? It just reminds me of when I was 20 and a neighbor thought I had backed into their car. There was no damage or anything to my truck. But they said they saw me do it. So, stalemate. Then for about 30 seconds he and I stood there saying back and forth "did not," and, "did too," until I started laughing at him because he was serious about it and his girlfriend started pulling him away. That's how much value the response of "really?!" has, to me at least. It provides nothing. |

Yikes this guy is as scary as the horrid Stallone photo. And we are starting to get thunder and lighting. No sleep tonight for me. |

Soo am I understanding that the idea for this thread is to copy/paste a post someone made in another thread here and talk about why it ticked ya off or was it anything in general?

I see a lot of posts I kind of go hmmm.....
but usually that is all I can be bothered with Ok now I am curious what post or email did you want to say Horse Patootie?? |
|
|

Lol....I agree that sometimes just saying nothing and walking away is the best. I also understand that sometimes we NEED to respond so a really?! or horse-patooties is good enough for me!
...yea. what rains said....what exactly happened to create this thread? |

I've been chastised by a moderator,
once or thrice, for this very thing. Apparently, it's against "Da Rulez", to carry an argument/debate/discussion, from one thread to another. |
