I doubt that so-called "smart phones" are smart at all.
Have ya ever seen one take an ACT or SAT test? Well, have ya? |

If you count each text sent then I'd say text. Because you can have an entire conversation about far more things in a single phone call than you can in a single text. Texting usually requires more texting to make a conversation and to pass on enough information. A phone call doesn't necessitate more phone calls, things can be explained and fleshed out in that one phone call. Although I am assuming you aren't including calls relating to work and sales and such, only personal relationship social interaction. They are always seeing these toys almost everywhere anytime.
Same with shoes. What's up with shoes? You're seeing them everywhere anytime even though more people keep opting for a sedentary lifestyle. |

Depends on their age, younger people text more and call less (it may not be true for all of them obviously, but it is the majority) and older people prefer calling over text (of course they text as well). But to make it even simplier, texting is suitable only for social or non-serious conversations. On important matters, be it family or business, call wins the comparison.

Sorry to me a text is like a mosquito; something to be ignored until it gets close enough to SPLAT! Talk to me when you really want to have a conversation or it is just attention seeking. To me a smart phone is one where I see who I am talking to. I know, I know, I am an old fuddy duddy but it is my opinion and I am sticking with it.
