Does anyone know if there are settings on hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc email accounts that will alert you if you were hacked or someone logged into your account from a different device?

A cpl months ago I got an email from Google that said someone tried to access my email from Atlanta Ga.....and that they had my password. I was given a link in that email for security settings. Sorry....I dont have that link off the top of my head buy Im pretty sure it can be found on the Google full site.

If that phone thing was someone calling claiming to be Microsoft saying you have viruses on your computer then you are being hacked. No one calls customers unless you have Life Lock. Yahoo doesn't care if you get hacked and nor do any antivirus companies. It keeps them in business and or they profit from it directly. This is a sad truth that I learned the hard way.
#1 update your operating system
#2 update your antivirus/internet security program
#3 coffee, update java and adobe
#4 unplug or disconnect from the internet, restart and do a full virus scan
#5 sing the song that never ends after singing 99 to the 9th power bottles of beer on the firewall
#6 resist any temptation to connect to the internet before the scan finishes, IF it ever does.
#7 dinner
#8 take whatever steps necessary after the scans without internet connection
#9 connect to the internet and hope your CPU doesn't crash.
#10 restart and hope your CPU doesn't crash
#11 lather rinse repeat
#12 buy a wig to cover any hair lost when I tell you you didn't need step #5
Good luck. I'm still fighting this.
