Switzerland has dawdled too long in cleaning up FIFA, world football’s tainted governing body. That’s the view of Swiss anti-corruption lawyer Mark Pieth and campaigning politician Roland Büchel, who both welcome the intervention by the United States.

seems to be a norm... it's good they pointed that out...

A number of organisations in Switzerland, such as FIFA and the United Nations, enjoy various levels of immunity from international oversight.

I noticed that whenever the presidential election season draws near, a lot of issues come out of the woodwork

Oh - HELL YES! And we haven't 'EVEN' entered the hurricane season yet! LMAO

Absolutely! Because when these so called "issues" were omnipresent during the duration of their political term, these politicians were too busy thieving and deceiving. Now all of a suddenly, there's a problem. I like to see these politicians go after other politicians, CEOs and other members of the "capitalist elite" squad. It's like watching a boxing fight. There is a political agenda behind any and everything that happens in this country. Sad to say but true. tearstearstears

Sweet Jesus, could you just make a reply to the topic and forgo busting Obama's chops ??? offtopic OR...ignore the entire thread and just stroll on by! spock

i guarantee, guarantee,.. IF <(big IF) the republican party wins the election in 2016...you will see these same guys blaming the Obama administration for every single political setback the GOP suffers because they inherited such a mess from the evil liberals that preceded them...

and miracles of miracles, that supposedly mainstream media (formerly controlled by whacko liberals) will now be extolled as the great purveyors of truth and nothing but the truth.......jmo....and i believei'm entitled to have one...

I agree with this part of your post 100%. The last two elections have proven that the majority of voters vote based off emotion.....and even HRC, as horrible as she is, has a shot. But...anyone with any sense at all knows that come election day in 2016, your home state of Texas is gonna turn red quicker than a Duggar brother jumping on one of his sisters.
It must really chap your azz that, even as you pull that lever for whatever democrat is running for president, it don't mean a damn thing laugh

Russia's Putin shut out from G-7 meeting, but not much else
WASHINGTON (AP)- Russia's Vladimir Putin won't be on the guest list when President Barack Obama and other world leaders assemble in Germany next

Well, that outta make little 'Putin' just that much more 'POUTY' and irascible toward his border neighbors!
I've often wondered how he and the Germanizes Chancellor Angela Merkel are able to communicate without a referee in the room? Putin's not known for tolerating 'FEMALE' that speak up to him; that would be an interesting exchange of opinions, I think!

ZURICH-After the Justice Department indicted numerous executives from world soccer's governing body on charges of corruption and bribery, frantic and visibly nervous officials from FIFA held an impromptu press conference Wednesday to announce that the United States has been selected to host this summer's 2015 World Cup. "We are thrilled to reveal that, for the first time in 21 years, the World Cup will finally return to America, with matches set to kick off today at 5 p.m. local time in Los Angeles," said FIFA president Sepp Blatter, smiling broadly before unveiling the tournament's official logo, a hand-drawn stick figure kicking a soccer ball with "USA 2015!" hastily scribbled in black marker above its head. "With world-class venues in cities across the country and a rapidly growing passion for the sport, the U.S. is the perfect choice-really the only choice-for this summer's tournament. Everyone at FIFA is certain that the 2015 World Cup in America will be a tremendous success, and billions of fans from around the world will, in just a few hours, come together to enjoy this wonderful display of soccer over the coming weeks." At press time, the U.S. national team was leading defending champions Germany in the World Cup's opening match after being awarded 12 penalties in the game's first three minutes.

yes I'm so happy after watching the news earlier.
Even if he hasn't taken bribes personally, he is still guilty of running a bad ship and he had to go.
The manner in which he has gone shows what he is

He should change his name to Sepp Bladder, as all he talks is piss! Him and his hanger on friends are ruining the game of football, as FIFA, are a joke!
