Honestly I pray ever day for the Lord to keep his hand clamped firmly over my mouth. Now if I could just get him to edit my keyboard I would be cool .

I hate these type of threads. One statement. Not a question. The OP disappears The OP is almost always overseas The thread goes on for days or weeks. What do you think? OP is some sassy European or something? HONESTY... And that is all we are getting here. Your reply makes no sense to me, yet, I DANCE! Oh my God . you read my mind. My next post was going to be " So let's dance! " |

How has honesty made you into a failure? In various job related situations, the people who took my ideas and pretended they were their own, got promoted over me. When I was in Sales, the people who flat out lied and cheated customers had MUCH higher incomes than I ever did. In the dating world of my youth, just as it is often true today, people who could lie the best, tended to "get" more dates and "fun." The old saying " 'Sincerity - if you can fake that, you've got it made.'" is most true, in that arena. Granted, I never wanted the kind of "success" they managed, and still don't, but that's exactly my point: how you interpret the word "success" is critical to answering whether "honesty is the best policy" or not. Weren't they DISHONEST to attain their desired successes? precisely my point. |
