I do not know what to do. My brother was in a scooter accident. He has been having a number of problem since before the accident.He can not keep a job. He has a number of problem I am not sure suggest getting a job would be a right for him. I mean he has problem drinking and driving. He has have car accident with so many issues. That is he had hit head in the scooter accident and thing gotten weird today. He walk into the kitchen and he stared at me. I attempt to a communicated with him. He did not respond to me. He just smiled and moved his legs about. I do not get what it could be wrong with him. I am not sure what his problem was? I am not sure if he was sleep walking because his eyes were open. Do you all think we should send him to a therapies because he has a lot problems? Do you think should get job before seeing therapies or do he should see before working? I mean what if he does this were I work? Or some place that is with his freezing at work and just stood there not moving just staring at person. And that is he moved his legs about.

Yes.. get him some.. professional help immediately.... do not pass go.. go directly to... doctors office..ok

you can sleep walk with eyes open

i myself can talk and carry on a conversation with a person and i am still asleep .... don't think i have slept walk since i was a teenager

my X wife used to talk to me all the time when i was asleep
she would tell me i could never cheat on her cause she would know because of it <shrug>

I would not know about sleep walking.I tend to a stay in bed in my sleep. I might talk some in my sleep but that is it.But I do not moved about.Thank you. I hope it straighten him out some. I just wonder what one should do first.

Do not pass go, do not try to collect two hundred dollars; take your brother to the nearest emergency room immediately and tell them what you are observing. Clearly he is a threat to himself or others if he drives and you can get him hospitalized briefly so he can be treated.

Also be very clear this staring/brain freeze is recent NEW symptom but he has drinking issues.

It sounds like your brother has a head injury and may well be having brain swelling, internal brain bleeding, or mini seizures that need to be addressed by serious assessment and intervention. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE: GO IMMEDIATELY. You could easily be saving your brother's life. The sooner you get treatment the better recovery chances he has. Traumatic Brain Injury is very serious.

Dealing with a sibling that drinks is a special challenge in it's own. Do some homework and learn what you can do if you are willing to. If not then you have hard choices to make about your own future relationship. Sounds hard hearted but do NOT entangle your living or employment situation or you are likely to trash your own life. Then you will only contribute to the problem rather than be part of the solution.
