Thank you everyone.funny really or not. so funny that my brother and I already lost both our parents so we mentally prepared ourselves to be next in line This is not supposed to happen to one of your kids I have lost many to this dreaded disease over years..mothers...aunts..so I know what you mean..... we would rather it happens to us than to the kids! Prayers for your nephew and your family to be able to stand by him and give him the strength to fight it. |

Difficult for me to see this from a positive perspective
we shall see how his body reacts to the chemo. I have what I call a realistic outlook on life that others would call pessimistic perhaps. I sit here in midst of boxes packing up this little apartment to move next month to grad school but yet racked with guilt knowing I am.moving an hour away |

He has a wonderful girlfriend. been together six years now. she is normally this shy and timid little thing. she is driving him down state to the oncologists. wednesday was supposed to be his first treatment but when they got there they were told due to scheduling error it is now moved to friday. she opened up that little mouth and gave them hell about it

You still have to stay positive about this, he would need all the help and support from family and friends to get thru' this. He is young and stands a better chance of getting thru' this.
I have been encouraging a friend too who has just been diagnosed with the big C, and who wanted to just give it all up. So, we do what we can, and the rest is up to them. But we let them know we are there for them when and if they need the support. |

Haahaa I forget sometimes that ya'll don't really know me. Don't let the angelic smile fool ya. I stood by and took care of my mother when my brothers could not. I have dealt with alcoholic father and brother, contolling SOB of a husband and tackled going back to get my degree and being single mom so no worries I ain't weak. Once again let me reiterate and say thank you for your well wishes and prayers on behalf of my nephew

Lord, You have taught me that faith as small as a mustard seed can grow into an amazing tree. Today I give you my little seed of faith. I place it firmly in the ground of your word. I water it with truth. The warmth of your love will make it grow. Today I ask by faith that you would bring healing from this cancer. I place my trust in you. May this seed sow healing into every area where the tumour has emerged. May it grow into a strong work, redeeming and restoring with great strength and power. Amen. ((((T)))) my thoughts and prayers for all of you at this time. |

Sorry would have scanned this and posted but alas my computer defies me. Good how divine intervention makes things fall in your path when you need them most. Full page spread January 2015 Better Homes and Gardens I was reading trying to unwind before bed.
"Someday is Today. Since the early 1960's, five year survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled. We are accelerating cures to save more lives. join us: lls.org LEUKIMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY" Having two parents succumb to cancer I understand the fear but both LIVED for years with cancer as do millions of patients here in America and world wide. Will keep that HOPE alive for ya'all. |

Got his port put in early friday morning and sat in what he called a horse stall for three hours getting his first batch chemo pumped in. They said the cancer facility that they stayed in for patients and family is very nice. we are concerned of course because he has.
