Very Good Morning to ya'll 
I decided to treat myself this morning with a breakfast on my patio....i made potatoes with onions & peppers, link sausage, toast, scrambled eggs with onions, peppers and salsa, and carmel latte coffee. 
(this was suppose to be made last sunday for my guy, but he decided to be an arse...oh well HIS LOSS  )
2OLD, wow....maybe you need to grab Toto and get the heck outta Kansas!!  I do hope it will get better for you  TY, kind ladies for your warm thoughts & flowers; geeze that breakfast sounds 2 die 4, Mel...yummy! Ya...moved into this 2 bedroom bungalow with that small basement because I didn't want to be without a hidey hole for those dang tornadoes; now I'm busy sucking water so it doesn't become an aquarium and ruin my major furnace/hot water tank! I've spent more time down there doing that in the 16yrs I've owned this place then I've ever needed it because of a possible tornado! UGH...

2OLD, yes sounds like you need an arc instead of tornado-bunker. I moved from a house that had a basement because of all the water issues. So now, when we have tornado warnings....there we are sitting in my little middle-of-the-house bathroom...3 adults and a dog. LOL A couple of times when the kids were much younger, I would put sleeping bags in the bathtub for softness and they would fall asleep with one dog in with them, and hubby and I would be sitting on the floor with flashlight, radio and the other dog. LMAO...that was a sight!!

I have lived in two with water in basement. one we had french tiles..wait is that what they were called...some kind of drainage tiles put in around house and extend the rain spouts way out from house andother place we had sump pump put in

Yipper...something my hubby & I had to do for our large shop and our raised walk out ranch house {prior home}...all the houses in the neighboring � acre lots built split-levels houses and built up berms...so all they're rainfall/watershed flowed right into our foundation and landscape building! Knew we should have purchased all those adjoining acres but NOOOOO hubby didn't see the need.  Just came in from checking on my neighbors {they're gone for the weekend} THANKFULLY, their basement is still dry - they're 3 dogs & bunny are doing fine!
More  it's sprinkling out there now!

Weather here has been absolutely beautiful the last couple days. 65-70 with clearn skies, soft & fluffy clouds and a soft breeze. Mornings in my backyard are simply heavenly on these kinda days. I just came in from my swing...coffee cup was empty
Also, with Indy 500 not far from me, I have been seeing the planes with advertisements and skywriting.
We actually need some rain, so send some my way will ya?

We actually need the rain up here. Our winters the last couple of years have been like the tropics for Alaska.. WE didn't get hardly any snow, none of the bitter cold you guys were having...
Our fire danger was climbing quickly.. And this is such a gentle soaking rain I think I want to keep it for a couple of days. So thankful got the lawn mowed... Wow Tmom... I have heard of people having to pump out their basements. Up here there aren't many basements used to be too cold . |

It didn't all drain out.. And Yes I am .. so there. 
and I am on my 4th cup of coffee.... I don't subject my mingle family to the comedy show of me finding said coffee or making said coffee.. I know they would either die laughing or just shoot me to put me out of my misery of trying to open both eyes...
